The site is situated southwest of Winnenden. The new hospital is grouped with a new centre for learning and administration, a medical centre and a patient hotel on a greenfield. The whole complex is organised with compact pavilion-typed buildings, which open to the floodplain to the east of the site.

The hospital street connects all areas. 3 double-wards on one floor allow for flexible and efficient use usage.  The treatment floors as well as all patient rooms offer views to the outside.
