The 'Spital' exists of an elderly care centre, dwellings with 22 apartments for the elderly and a residential community with 5 residential units. Each of the two care groups with 29 single rooms have of common area with a dining room and a lounge, a therapeutic bath, study rooms and a nurse office.

The offset and glazed buildings optically articulate the complex into individual parts. A cafe terrace invites people to have a rest next to the streams of the river Aach.
