With the new science classes at the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium in Metzingen, an independent new building is being built on the south-western side of the planning area, which will blend harmoniously into the overall ensemble.

A high-quality outdoor area with lots of green, which can be used in a variety of ways, supports the cohesion of the individual parts of the building. The two-storey building follows, with a half-storey offset, the natural course of the terrain and thus creates a wide variety of qualities and views both indoors and outdoors.

The composition of the floor plan is reflected in the individual specialist classes, which can be read from the outside. Due to its compactness, its location in the overall ensemble and its use at the building limits, the building opens up in all directions at the same time and, in terms of urban planning, forms a "distributor" for future structural expansions.
